Getting your criminal record check by the FBI Abroad

Step 2. Print your fingerprints cards. Below is the line to the fingerprint document. (Fingerprint technician exists look for one)

Step 3. Mail and Shipping

Caution: You can choose to submit you fingerprints electronically in specific locations inside the United Sates. The application will be done online but the finger prints will be mailed in if you are abroad to the address below.

Step 4. Processing time and review process.

Step 5. Check your email for the review and if you asked for a physical copy check your mailbox.

Step 6. Get your documents Internationally ready. Apostilles in my case for Brasil.

Apostilles authenticate the seals and signatures of officials on public documents such as birth certificates, court orders, or any other document issued by a public authority so that they can be recognized in foreign countries that are members of the 1961 Hague Convention Treaty.

The U.S. Department of State only issues apostilles for federal documents to use in countries that are members of the 1961 Hague Convention.
