Hometown Poem

Dear hometown,

You saw my birth.

You were part of my rearing.

You saw me win and lose.

You saw me represent you with honor and respect.

You know all of my mistakes.

I love and care about you.

I’m far away today, but soon I’ll see all the familiar faces from that state.

Poem for Moleskin contest about color and uniqueness.

The color for diversity.

For the dirt, mountains, and the countless types of rocks on planet earth.

For the drink you have every day before facing your responsibilities.

Good habits are mundane like this color, you could say.

Have peace, be gay, and walk with faith.

Once in a while have that brownie.
